According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, Kenneth Faried’s initial 5 year, $60 million extension with the Denver Nuggets has been revised upon consultation with the NBA. Below are tweets from Woj:

Today is the culmination of a series of strange happenings with the Kenneth Faried extension announcement. From Wojnarowski's initial breaking news at 2 am Monday morning, to the admission that the extension would not have been legal under the current CBA, to today's revision. Either way I'm sure Kenneth Faried is relieved have this behind him … and I'm sure the Nuggets are as well
