Even though it came in defeat, Nikola Jokic was the best player on the floor Sunday morning in Detroit. In the Nuggets 128-123 loss to the Pistons in overtime, Jokic went for 39 points on 16-of-23 shooting from the field to go along with 11 assists and 10 rebounds.

Jokic recorded his 10th triple-double of the season and 38th of his career. With his latest triple-double, Jokic is just five away from Fat Lever for 9th all-time. If you want to take it a step further, the Nuggets big man is just 144 triple-doubles away from passing Oscar Robertson for number one on the all-time list.

After the Nuggets jumped out to an early 21-point lead in the first quarter, the Pistons were able to comeback in the second quarter to take a 3-point lead into halftime. The Nuggets were playing on some tired legs as they were playing their third game in the last four days.

Even though the Nuggets were playing on some low fuel, Jokic still helped the Nuggets stay in the game and almost walk away with the victory. To watch all the highlights from Jokic’s big game, click the link below!
