Jamal Murray is quietly starting to round into form. He’s scored in double figures in 12 of the last 15 games after starting the year doing so just 4 times in 12 tries. He’s also shooting a respectable 36% from behind the three-point arc over his last 15 games. Two nights ago he had a rare awful game, scoring just 2 points in a loss to the Indiana Pacers while fighting through a sore calf muscle but he bounced back tonight against the Detroit Pistons in a big way. He paced the Nuggets in scoring with 28 points on 11-19 shooting and was an impressive +25 en route to a much needed road win.

The fillet of the highlight reel tonight was a power dunk on Reggie Jackson that got Altitude TV color analyst, Scott Hastings to declare Murray “The Blue Drill Press.” Check out the full highlights in all of their glory. The Nuggets close out this six-game, 12-day road trip tomorrow night against the Boston Celtics. It’s the second night of a back-to-back against the league’s best team (by record, at least) so the Nuggets will likely rely even more heavily on the youthful legs of Murray, Malik Beasley, and Emmanuel Mudiay. So here’s to another repeat performance!
