It has been a long time coming for Bol Bol as he made his professional debut Friday night with the Windy City Bulls of the G-League. This comes after Bol missed almost a year while recovering from a left foot injury that ended his collegiate career after just nine games.

Friday night marked Bol’s first game since December 12. 2018. Bol did not disappoint in his limited minutes as he scored eight points on 4-of-9 shooting from the field. Not only did Bol accomplish that in just 17 minutes of action, but he also hauled in nine rebounds and blocked four shots.

On Bol’s very first play, he blocked a shot, which was the start of what ended up being a really encouraging debut. It was just one game, but Bol flashed potential of what made the Nuggets trade back into the draft to select him last June.

Not only was Bol running the floor with ease, but he was contesting almost every shot at the rim and was consistently knocking down open shots. Bol is currently on a two-way contract with the Nuggets, so Friday night was just the start of his time in the G-League.

If Bol can continue and take advantage of his minutes with the Windy City Bulls, that is a great sign for what he could hopefully bring to the Nuggets in the long-term. It looks like Bol will be on a minutes restriction at first, but if his health progresses, he should have plenty more opportunities moving forward.

The Bulls would end up winning 111-97 over the Canton Charge and Bol certainly played a part in that. Watch all of Bol’s highlights from the win in the Tweet below!
