From now until March 1st, Denver Stiffs readers and Denver Nuggets fans can donate tickets to send kids who are dealing with cancer or other life-threatening illnesses to watch the Denver Nuggets take on the Sacramento Kings at Pepsi Center on March 11th. The Denver Nuggets are helping out by providing special discounted tickets for this event. For just $10, you can send one kid in the HopeKids Colorado program to the game and provide them an opportunity to meet up with other kids who are dealing with similar medical conditions.
We believe that this event will provide a unique, supportive and recreational environment for connection, sharing and encouragement. Social support is absolutely critical for families with children who are battling serious illnesses and HopeKids’ events foster lasting friendships and support among people who share similar challenges. HopeKids families report that nothing is more powerful than one sick child meeting another who has recovered from the same condition. No HopeKids family is alone on this difficult journey.

This is our inaugural charity event and we’d love to make it a recurring part of our site. We are very proud of the large network of Nuggets fans that we’ve built over the years and we want to use our platform to help people in our community who are in need. Our goal is to raise enough money to purchase 200 tickets. In future years, we hope to grow this event to rival similar events held by BlazersEdge.com, our sister site for the Portland Trail Blazers. They’ve grown their event to send over 2,000 kids to Blazers Edge night!
