Whether it was something done by Minnesota's defense or a complete lack of execution by the Nuggets offense, the period from about 5 minutes into the 1st quarter until about halfway through the 2nd, Denver looked to have forgotten how to play. Lots of iso jumpers from three, with little penetration into the paint. Even when they did brave the crossed-pickaxe area, they missed bunnies or were stifled by an aggressive, collapsing Minny defense. For a brief couple of minutes, it looked like the Nuggets might find their footing, especially with the Wolves FT shooting keeping them close. Then, they decided to shoot only jumpers, for some reason, and to go away from getting the ball to Gallo. Also, Darrell Arthur looks just terrible tonight. Denver will have to work hard in the 2nd half as they trail by 10
