According to long-time NBA reporter Marc Stein, the Denver Nuggets G-League affiliate — the Grand Rapids Gold — are poised to land veteran Lance Stephenson during todays G-League draft.

This would be a big signing for the Gold as not only because Stephenson a big name, but hopefully he still has some game left and can be one of the featured players in Grand Rapids. Stephenson last appeared in the NBA back in 2018-19 with the Los Angeles Lakers and has played on seven different teams over the course of that last 10 years.

In his last NBA season with the Lakers, Stephenson played in 68 games averaging 7.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 16.5 minutes per game. Stephenson shot 37.1 percent from three that year and spent the following season (2019-20) playing in the Chinese Basketball Association with the Liaoning Flying Leopards. Stephenson helped lead the Leopards to a CBA title averaging 26.7 points per game in 29 games.
