According to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News, who first introduced the possibility of a New York Knicks and Denver Nuggets exchange featuring Kenneth Faried and Iman Shumpert says that “trade talks are intensifying” between the two clubs.

Talks between the Knicks and Nuggets centered around a deal that would send Iman Shumpert to Denver for forward Kenneth Faried have intensified in recent days, the Daily News has learned.

According to a league source, no deal is imminent, although the struggling Knicks feel they need to make a move to bolster their banged-up front court.

No further details of the proposed trade between the Nuggets and the Knicks over what, if any additional pieces would be added for such a proposed scenario. There could be many factors at play in this current rumor, and it’s likely that we will not know the full details of this until the moment the trade, if there is one, goes down. Even Isola admits there is no deal imminent. So we could be working ourselves up into a lather over nothing. Remember what it was like dealing with the rumor mongering NY media when Carmelo Anthony was traded?

Also, Shumpert no longer rocks the high fade. This is troubling on many different levels.
