According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Sacramento Kings have requested permission to interview six candidates for their head of basketball operations position, one of which is current Denver Nuggets general manager, Calvin Booth.

It is no secret the Denver Nuggets have built one of the best front offices in the NBA. With all the success the Nuggets have put together over the past few seasons, other teams around the league have started to take notice.

The Chicago Bulls hired Arturas Karnisovas as their executive vice president of basketball operations just a few months ago, which prompted the promotion of Booth to general manager.

Losing Booth would be a massive loss for the Nuggets. With the Nuggets already losing Karnisovas to the Bulls, it really seems important that Denver finds a way to keep Booth. As you can see by the header photo, Booth did play for the Kings during his final NBA season in 2008-09, albeit it was just for seven games.

The other names listed as potential candidates include: Timberwolves executive vice president Sachin Gupta, Heat assistant general manager Adam Simon, Pelicans GM Trajan Langdon, Rockets assistant GM Monte McNair and former Hawks GM Wes Wilcox.
