One more victory and the Denver Nugget’s will be going to the NBA Finals. Following a big time defeat of the Los Angeles Lakers tonight by the score of 119-108, the Nuggets inched that much closer to capturing their first trip to the NBA Finals in franchise history. Behind a big first half from Jamal Murray and a tremendous second half by Nikola Jokic, the Nuggets rode their two stars to victory as the Nuggets dominated basically from start to finish.

The Lakers made the game interesting at times, but the Nuggets were in firm control all game long as they’ll look to win the series on Monday night in Game 4. As for tonight, Denver was led offensively by Murray, who scored 37 points — 30 of which came in the first half — to go along with seven rebounds and six assists. Jokic also had a solid night — mostly in the second half — scoring 24 points while dishing out eight assists and hauling in six rebounds.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (17) and Michael Porter Jr. (14) also scored in double-figures and hit some big time shots in the fourth quarter. The same can be said for Bruce Brown, who scored 15 points off the bench and continues to be an x-factor in this series. It was a true team effort for the Nuggets as they committed just six turnovers and played a pretty clean 48 minutes of basketball to secure the victory.

Denver will be back in action on Monday night at Crypto.com Arena as they’ll look to sweep the Lakers and punch their ticket to the NBA Finals. Tip-off for that game is set for 6:30 PM MST and will be televised nationally on ESPN.
