The Denver Nuggets don’t receive a ton of national attention, but one outlet that consistently talks Nuggets is the Vertical.

Adrian Wojnarowski had Gary Harris on podcast to discuss a variety of topics, ranging from the NBA Draft Lottery to a potential contract extension with Denver this summer. A couple of other interesting tidbits:

  • 8:51: Nikola Jokic emerging as a franchise player for the Nuggets.
  • 20:08: The benefits of playing multiple sports growing up to avoid burnout.
  • 26:11: Harris’ advice to Miles Bridges, who decided to return for his sophomore season.
  • 33:53: Being eligible for a contract extension and his strong relationship with the Nuggets.

Harris has emerged as a potential member of the Nuggets for years to come. It’s encouraging that he says so many positive things about the organization, Jokic, and the culture being built in Denver. He also expresses his connections back to his alma mater at Michigan State. Everything he says points to a potential willingness to sign a new contract at a reasonable amount, which will be a key factor in building a contender.
