Pepsi released a new commercial yesterday promoting their signature soft drink, with famous person Kendall Jenner featured in the advertisement.

The 2:30 minute video is centered around a protest, where protesters march down a street where Jenner just so happens to be participating in a photo shoot. Jenner decides to join in, and gives a can of Pepsi to a police officer, so that he doesn’t pepper spray her I guess?

Here’s the commercial:

It’s a corporation attempting to make a profit off of something that probably shouldn’t be used for corporate gain (which is another conversation altogether). People got mad online about it, and deservedly so.

Personally, I don’t know why Pepsi doesn’t just focus their marketing strategy on, “Hey, this is what you drink when this restaurant doesn’t serve Coke.” Pepsi is gross. I’d rather drink Mello Yello.

What does this have to do with the Nuggets? Well, for starters, they play their home games in the Pepsi Center (which may be one reason for low attendance, come to think of it). Also, as the headline reads, one member of the Nuggets team decided to weigh in on the commercial as well.

Flawless. Perfect execution from one of the veteran leaders on the team.
