We at Denver Stiffs are proud to announce that the Denver Nuggets will be honoring the amazing1993-94 Denver Nuggets who beat the Seattle Supersonics in the greatest upset in NBA History.

Here is an excerpt from the press release:

The Denver Nuggets will honor the heralded 1993-94 team during a special 20th Anniversary Celebration on March 17 when they host the Los Angeles Clippers at 8:30 p.m.

Coaches and players from the 1993-94 Denver Nuggets will be at Pepsi Center to celebrate their upset of the Seattle SuperSonics in the 1994 NBA playoffs. Denver became the first eighth-seeded team to beat a No. 1 seed in NBA history.

The current Nuggets will wear the navy, gold and maroon jerseys worn by the 1993-94 team for one night only, and all game presentation elements will incorporate elements from that historic season. The coaches and players from the 1993-94 team will be honored at halftime with a special recognition ceremony at center court.

Denver Stiffs began honoring that historic team in August last year with a series of articles about the team. You can read them all in once place right here: Nuggets 1993-94 Anniversary

One of my favorite moment's as a Nuggets fan, and I'm proud to be a part of celebrating what is my favorite team. There's been both bad and amazing history between that year and this one, but it will be hard to top that season. It's been an honor writing articles and remembering a 15 year old kid who loved his team.

I'm looking forward to this.
