For the third time in four games the Nuggets lose by 17 points or more. This time Denver fell to the, now, 24-26 Minnesota Timberwolves 117-100. Sure, the Nuggets scored 100 points, but this game was over before the first quarter ended. Denver fell behind by 13 in the opening period and had no answers to the Timberwolves offense. Kevin Love (30 points and 21 rebounds) and Luke Ridnour (25 points) combined for 55 points, 23 rebounds, and 10 assists. The lone bright spots for the Nuggets were hard working Kenneth Faried who put up 17 points in 30 minutes and newcomer JaVale McGee, with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Finally, the young power forward saw his play rewarded with some adequate minutes, but the defenseless Nuggets just couldn’t keep up with another division and conference foe.
