Today during media day, Malik Beasley discussed how his summer went, improvements he made to his game, and the upcoming season for the Denver Nuggets.

One of his most interesting quotes surrounded his personal improvement. When asked what he worked on this summer, Beasley cited “becoming an elite shooter” first and foremost. He knows that in order to survive in today’s NBA as a bench guard, he has to improve as a shooter. It would boost Denver’s bench considerably if he became a consistent threat.

He also cited defense, “working on his hips, sitting down longer” as ways to help him get on the court, and he’s right. The 3&D archetype is massively important, and maximizing those two skills are paramount to his future success in Denver.
