Juancho Hernangomez has been selected to represent Spain for the final two games of the World Cup Qualifiers, a precursor for Spain to earn entrance into next summer’s FIBA World Cup.

Juancho is the only current NBA player on the roster and could have a fairly significant role on the team. Last summer, Juancho averaged nearly 20 minutes per game for the Spanish National Team in the Euroleague tournament. He averaged 8 points and 6 rebounds per game and shot 35% from behind the three-point line.

The “Rojas” face Slovenia on June 28th and Montenegro on July 2nd. The Denver Nuggets will head to Las Vegas for NBA Summer League on July 6th. The team has not yet announced whether or not Juancho will participate in that event.
