It’s fitting that Nikola Jokic was, as Bill Hanzlik said, “big time good” against the memphis Grizzlies on Monday night. It would’ve been a shame for him to no-show at the start of Jokic Week here at Denver Stiffs.

With the Denver Nuggets playing without three starters and looking to avoid a three-game losing streak, Joker put on his hard hat and grabbed his lunch pail before going to work against Marc Gasol and the gritty Memphis Grizzlies. He outscored Gasol 11-0 in the fist quarter and was able to draw two fouls against the former defensive player of the year. He added another 8 points in the second quarter.

Things quieted down for him a bit in the second half but he came up big down the stretch, hitting a big 4th quarter post up over Gasol that helped keep the Nuggets on top.
