One of the upsides of being eliminated from the playoffs is that we finally get to watch the younger players on the roster (and Mike Miller lol) get extended minutes instead of just playing garbage time. Malik Beasley, who is regularly known for being a one-man dance show on the bench, did not disappoint in his first meaningful minutes outside of the D-League.

Beasley played 32 minutes Tuesday against Dallas, by far a career high, and in that time he showed why Tim Connelly was so high on him at the draft. Though 16 points might not seem significant, Beasley did a bit of everything on offense from having a few explosive dunks to hitting a couple of threes to dishing out the assists. In all, Malik really filled up the stat sheet: 16 points (12 in the second quarter!), five rebounds, two assists, and two steals while shooting 50 percent from the field.

We can’t wait to see more of this in the coming years!
