Not much to say here everyone. Andy had an excellent game preview for tonight’s Nuggets vs. Philadelphia 76ers tilt in the city of brotherly love. No updates as far as injuries go. Danilo Gallinari is still a game time decision (although I suspect he will play, if not tonight then the next game in Orlando) and Wilson Chandler will continue to be brought along slowly. Remember, he is coming off of hip surgery and that takes awhile to recover from.

On top of that it's Halloween. Yeah baby. Normally I'd be dressing up in a semi-obnoxious out fit and hitting the town with all my flare and glory. Not tonight. Tonight the Nuggets come out to play for the first time since April. I don't know about you, but this is like HallowChrismas for me … or … Chrisoween? Something? Well, we will figure it out.

In the meantime we will just read some links and listen to some podcasts. Nate Timmons previewed the Nuggets season on the Colorado Sports Guys podcast, and I was on with the South Stands Fancast guys … covering a myriad of subjects, all the while talking very loudly and having a good time in general.

On to the links!

Danilo Gallinari believes Nuggets may be better than last years team – Benjamin Hochman, Denver Post
What’s that you say? An article that is complimentary and hopeful about Gallo? Say it isn’t so! Maybe next article will be complimenting George Karl’s coaching.

Goodman: George Karl needs to stop the excuses – Eric Goodman, Mile High Sports
The former TV anchor makes his full shift into web blogging with this one as he offers up his take on Karl's excuses while also complimenting Karl. (Added by Nate)

James Harden, the NBA, and the Myth of Small Markets – Dave Zirin, The Nation
A must-read article for those who are skeptical of the constant “woe is me” talk from the so-called “Small Markets” in the NBA. Apparently the Oklahoma City Thunder have made themselves quite the profit the last couple years in the NBA.

Have a great, safe, Halloween. Enjoy the first game of the season!! So excited.
