Andersen shares unique bond with KSE employee – Aaron Lopez, Nuggets.com
This story is from Dec. 23rd, but was an interesting read and a bit outside of the box from your normal NBA stories.

Video: Forbes Sings To Kenyon – Nuggets.com
Gary Forbes sings Happy Birthday to 33 year-old Kenyon Martin … it’s uh, not good! And if you are wondering who Oakland Bully is … that’s K-Mart’s handle on Twitter.

Video: Harrington Nears Return – Nuggets.com
Harrington shoots around a bit and talks about a possible return to get a full Nuggets lineup for the first time this season.

Trade talk: Latest on Kings' Casspi, Landry – Marc Stein, ESPN True Hoop
The Kings have a young team, but they seem insistent on trading second year surprise Omri Casspi. The Kings hand may be forced on Carl Landry as he's in the last year of his deal ($3 million) and isn't expected to re-sign with Sacramento … could the Nuggets steal Landry as a cheap rental big for the playoffs and perhaps get him to ink an extension with the team?

Cracks showing in Kings’ foundation – Marc Spears, Yahoo! Sports
Spears breaks down the misguided first few months of DeMarcus Cousin’s NBA journey. Carmelo Anthony, through a representative, told Michael Jordan he wouldn’t sign an extension with the Charlotte Bobcats and Marcus Camby in a Rockets uniform?

Caron Butler’s injury could end season – ESPN Dallas/Fort Worth
Butler has been a key reserve for the Dallas Mavericks this season as he comes off the bench and plays 29 minutes a game and averages 15 points. Butler may have suffered at least a partial tear of the patellar tendon in his right knee. This is the same injury that robbed K-Mart of his promising season last year and resulted in off-season surgery for the Nugget. A major blow to the Mavs who are in second place in the Western Conference with a 25-8 record.

Wait A Second: Is Charles Oakley Cooler Than Charles Barkley? Lets Think About This – Andrew Sharp, SB Nation
An entertaining piece by Sharp, even if just for the priceless quotes from Oak at the beginning of the piece. Oakley was known as a tough guy, hard worker, tough guy and famously being Michael Jordan’s sidekick off the court. Did you know Oakley was once traded from Jordan’s Bulls to the Knicks for Bill Cartwright?

Deadlines and Commitments – XVI – Nets Daily
Some key dates that Nets fans are keeping track of. Of interest; the trade deadline and the NBA Draft.

Nick Van Exel's Son Arrested For Capital Murder – Brian Floyd, SB Nation
I came across this story over the weekend. A sad time for former Nugget Nick Van Exel and his son. Sounds like the story involves gun play and a firearm discharging perhaps by accident.

Lakers' Joe Smith Ties Record by Playing for 12th Different Team – Chris Tomasson, Fanhouse
Of the 12 teams Smith has played for … one of them is the Denver Nuggets. Heck, Scott Hastings only played for five teams and Juwan Howard is still going, but with just eight teams (but multiple stops in Denver and Dallas).
