Spencer Dinwiddie is recovering from his ACL tear suffered about mid-season for the Colorado Buffaloes and he's also starting to shoot up the mock draft boards. Dinwiddie was once thought to be a first round talent, but the injury may have slowed his prospects around the league.

The big point guard goes 6’6″ and 205 pounds, he averaged 14.7 points, 3.8 assists, and 1.5 steals for the Buffs and was having a very promising campaign before the injury. His injury derailed the chances Colorado had at a good NCAA tournament run, but he seems in good spirits now.

Our friends at Draft Express.com have him going as the 38th overall pick to the Detroit Pistons. The Nuggets own two second-round picks in the draft (41st & 56th) and there could be a chance that Dinwiddie will be available when the Nuggets pick at no. 41, if they keep the selection. It would be cool to see the Nuggets take a chance on the former CU product and take a shot on a big point guard on a roster that has what Ty Lawson calls the “#Smurfgang” with himself and Nate Robinson … and perhaps free agent Aaron Brooks coming back.

My favorite thing about Dinwiddie? With his hair and mustache, it looks like he was pulled straight from 1981.
