For almost a month now, Denver Nuggets fans have been wondering if Will Barton is close to making his return to the court after undergoing surgery on his hip in October. There has been reason for excitement, as coach Michael Malone has recently indicated that he is close to returning. Still, before Friday, there wasn’t a clear indicator that Barton would be making his return in the immediate future. That changed, however, with a tweet from Barton himself:

It’s pretty safe to say, in my opinion, that this tweet was designed by Barton in order to excite fans about his fast approaching return to the court. Still, that tweet doesn’t necessarily mean that his return is imminent, as it could be read as Barton anxiously awaiting that moment to arrive. However, the Denver Nuggets offered good news on Friday when they posted their injury report, showing Barton was questionable for Saturday night’s game against the Phoenix Suns.

This is such a sight for sore eyes, as Nuggets fans have been used to seeing Barton as “OUT” on the injury report since the third game of the season. Barton has undoubtedly endured a long and grueling recovery process but it looks like he is at the end of the tunnel, and Nuggets fans should be pumped.
