On Thursday night, the Denver Nuggets defeated the Portland Trail Blazers in game 6 of their first round series, securing themselves a ticket to the Western Conference semi-finals. It was an impressive accomplishment give the fact that the team was without three of their top guards and were playing a team with one of the most lethal backcourts. After the victory, many of the players understandably wanted to pay tribute to this accomplishment on social media.

Monte Morris took to Twitter to reflect on the hard-fought series with the Blazers, while also reminding fans that the journey does not stop here.

Facundo Campazzo tweeted a photo of the team huddled up on the court, with a very simple message to reflect that this part of their goal is now complete.

It would appear that Paul Millsap is very excited to get the second round started.

Austin Rivers posted a few photos of himself from Game 6 and noted that he’s looking forward to the next round.

I would say that it’s very encouraging that the players, while eager to celebrate their first round victory, are also just as eager to make it known that they will not be satisfied until they win a championship. Let’s hope we get more celebratory posts from the team after the second round against the Phoenix Suns.
