It was a devastating week for the Denver Nuggets after Jamal Murray suffered a season-ending ACL tear on Monday night in their game against the Golden State Warriors. The injury could not have come at a worse time for Murray and the Nuggets. With the playoffs set to begin next month and the the Nuggets looking like legitimate championship contenders this season, it was a crushing blow to say the least. For Murray, who was taking the next step this season to becoming an all-star caliber player on a championship contender, it has to be extremely frustrating to suffer such a big set-back.

It would seem, however, that Murray has a big support system that he can rely on through this hurdle. After Murray’s diagnosis was confirmed and it was revealed that he would indeed be out for the rest of the season, his teammates made sure to send positive thoughts to Jamal on social media.

Will Barton posted this message on his Instagram after the news broke, complimenting Murray on his toughness and expressing his confidence that Murray will come out on the other side of this challenge an even better player.

Facundo Campazzo echoed Barton’s sentiments with the below tweet, dedicated to the Blue Arrow.

On Tuesday night, after the flood of well wishes and positive thoughts came in from all around the league reacting to the injury, Murray took to Twitter to share a simple message using only emojis. It was clear, though, that he wanted to let his fans and followers know that he was hearing the support from all over.

The next morning, Murray put this feeling into words with the below tweet.

While the news of Murray’s injury is a huge bump in the road for the Nuggets as a team, it seems that absolutely nobody that knows him has any doubts whatsoever about his ability to return an even better player following his rehabilitation. I’m sure that whenever Murray does make his return, it will be highly anticipated by Nuggets fans. Until then, I think it’s safe to say that the Nuggets have enough talent to keep us entertained and keep things interesting in their pursuit for a championship.
