The news just keeps coming! The Denver Nuggets, fresh off signing Darrell Arthur, have just released the preliminary roster for the Las Vegas Summer League.

From Nuggets.com here is the current Summer League roster for Denver’s first game on Friday, July 8th against the Minnesota Timberwolves:

Some things to note:

– Denver brought several members of the 2015-16 Nuggets to Summer League. Emmanuel Mudiay, Gary Harris, Axel Toupane and JaKarr Sampson are all listed. Mudiay aand Harris are obviously locks for the roster but neither Toupane nor Sampson are so getting them more time in front of the coaches (and coaches from other teams around the league for them to catch on with if they get released here) is a nice gesture.

– All of Denver’s 2016 draftees are listed as well. Both Juancho Hernangomez and Petr Cornelie are sticking around for Summer League. Coach Michael Malone has stated Malik Beasley will practice with the team but will not play, but having all of them there with Mudiay and Harris can only help with chemistry and getting a jump on camp.

– Several of the other participants have a local flair. Josh Scott, Antwan Scott and Josh Adams all went to college in Colorado or Wyoming. When Tim Connelly said he liked a lot of the kids from the local workouts he hosted, he wasn't kidding.

– And then of course there's Jimmer.

Overall, it's hard to see Denver ever bringing more actual Nuggets to Summer League. For anyone hoping to see a bunch of legit NBA players in Las Vegas, your wish is granted! Denver should get a great start at breaking the new players in with their Denver squad. More to come as we get closer to Summer League. Denver's is a hard roster to crack for any young talent trying to get a foothold in the league, but anything can happen. What do you think of the participants?
