Kroenke Sports and Entertainment announced today that if the Denver Nuggets advance to round two of the NBA playoffs that 18,300 fans will be allowed inside Ball Arena. That is 90 percent capacity of the stadium, which is up from the 10,500 (57.3 percent) from the first round. If the Nuggets do indeed play a Game 7 on Saturday, attendance for that game will stay at the previous number since it’s still a first round game.

This is phenomenal for not just Nuggets fans, but Avalanche fans as well. Ball Arena is going to be rocking as both teams make a push for a championship and even though the arena is not at full capacity, it’s still pretty close. Nuggets and Avs games have been electric with just over 57 percent of fans in the stands so I can only imagine what 90 percent of the fans are going to sound like.

Denver obviously has to advance to the second round for this to happen which requires a win either tonight in Portland or in Denver on Saturday in Game 7. Here’s to hoping the Nuggets take care of business tonight and eliminate the Trail Blazers so they can get a little more rest before they begin their second round series against either Phoenix or the Lakers.
