The Denver Nuggets desperately needed a victory Monday night at Ball Arena and they got one courtesy of some phenomenal play by their superstar big man, Nikola Jokic. It was another big night for Jokic as he scored 38 points on 15-of-20 shooting from the field, 2-of-4 from beyond the three-point line.

Jokic also hauled in eight rebounds and dished out five assists in the Nuggets 128-109 victory in Game 2. Whether he was scoring the ball or making plays for his teammates, Jokic did a phenomenal job of keeping the Nuggets in the lead even when Damain Lillard was making every shot he put up.

Even though Lillard scored 42 points, the Nuggets were able to match it behind another massive performance from Jokic. Another positive from Jokic’s night was the fact he only played 31 minutes, which is huge because the Nuggets are going to need him to play more and more as the series moves on.

Being able to rest Jokic tonight is massive as the Nuggets look to take a lead in the series Thursday night in Portland. To watch all the highlights from Jokic’s big night, click the link below!
