Nikola Jokic has shown he’s an MVP candidate with his play to begin the season and fans have obviously taken notice. The NBA announced their first round of fan results for the NBA All-Star game next month in Atlanta and Nikola Jokic comes in second place (frontcourt) with 1,477,975 votes.

Charania also reported today the NBA is planning to hold an All-Star Game in Atlanta on March 7th, which was previously not in the plans for this season due to COVID-19.

The one thing that really stands out from the early fan voting is Jokic is ahead of some big names like Kawhi Leonard and Anthony Davis. There is no doubt Jokic has played better than both of them to start the season, but it’s nice for him to finally get the recognition he deserves.
Jokic is coming off back-to-back Western Conference Player of the Week awards and was named Western Conference Player of the Month earlier this week as well. The Nuggets and Jokic are back in action tonight for a nationally televised game against the Los Angeles Lakers with tip-off set for 8PM MST on TNT.
