According to Mike Singer of The Denver Post, the Denver Nuggets are signing sharpshooter Nik Stauskas to an exhibit 10 contract.

Singer also reported a flurry of other roster moves that pertain mostly to the Nuggets roster for their G-League affiliate, the Grand Rapids Gold.

I'd say there is a pretty strong chance Stauskas lands on the Gold as well and could potentially have some success in the G-League. Stauskas was a high draft pick back in 2014 when the Sacramento Kings drafted him eight overall following a successful collegiate career at Michigan.

Stauskas has since made stops in Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Portland, and Cleveland before signing this deal with the Nuggets. His best season came in 2016-17 with the 76ers when Stauskas averaged 9.5 points per game in 27.4 minutes a night. Stauskas shot 36.8 percent from three that season and is a career 35.3 percent shooter from beyond the arc.

It’s always nice to have more depth and this signing brings that. If for some reason the Nuggets suffer a couple of injuries like what happened last season, Stauskas is more than capable of playing in a game here and there. Stauskas played in the G-League last season with the Raptors 905 averaging 18.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game, which proves he could be an instant contributor for the Gold.
