Dr. Jason Dragoo at UC Health Inverness Orthopedics and Spine Surgery Center performed the surgery and Whittington will be re-evaluated in four to six weeks. Whittington has yet to appear for the Nuggets this season.
Whittington was originally signed back in November as one of the Nuggets two-way players along with Markus Howard. After a solid career overseas, Whittington most recently appeared with Galatasaray in the Turkish BSL averaging 12.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 25 games.
