The NBA is a league built around the idea of finishing in the top-8 in your conference to qualify for the playoffs. Still, winning the division is a nice cherry on top and the Denver Nuggets secured their second consecutive Northwest Division title today courtesy of Oklahoma City’s loss to Phoenix.

This is the fifth time in franchise history Denver has won the Northwest Division and the second time they have done so (2008-09, 2009-10) in back-to-back seasons.
The Nuggets are back in action tonight against the Los Angeles Lakers. Tip-off is set for 7 pm MDT and will be televised nationally on TNT.
