New, comment

The Nuggets’ game against the Indiana Pacers on January 2, 2019 will forever be known as the MPJ game

NBA: Denver Nuggets at Indiana Pacers Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

On Thursday night against the Indiana Pacers, Michael Porter Jr. gave NBA fans a glimpse into the future. In just 22 minutes, MPJ scored a career high 25 points on an efficient 11-12 shooting, to go along with 5 rebounds. He quite simply could not have done more in the time that he was given, and if you’re a Nuggets fan that was not smiling from ear to ear or jumping up and down in your mind, then I would check that you still have a pulse.

Following the 124-116 win, MPJ took to Instagram to share this post:

Not only did the Nuggets get a win to start 2020, but hopefully MPJ’s breakout game coming at the start of a new season is symbolic. If he continues to get minutes and continues to produce with those minutes, then we may be talking about Porter Jr. a lot in the next year.
