With 3:47 remaining in the Denver Nuggets eventual loss to the Washington Wizards, Nikola Jokic secured a one-handed rebound, gathered, then went up and under the rim for a reverse layup through contact. There was no call.

Jokic turned to referee James Capers and unloaded on him. He drew a quick technical, refused to back off, and drew a second shortly after, resulting in an ejection.
Following the game, both Jokic and Malone spoke with the media about the incident. But the two men struck very different tones with their responses.
