Gary Harris was forced to exit the Denver Nuggets game against the Miami Heat on Tuesday night due to a left ankle injury.

It is tough to say which play Harris got hurt on in the first half, but he did put together a solid opening two quarters. Harris went into the half with six points on 3-of-6 shooting from the field to go along with one rebound and one steal.

On the season, Harris is averaging 12.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game.

UPDATE:

Michael Malone talked after the game and sounded optimistic that Gary Harris will be available when Denver plays the 76ers on Friday night. Malone also provided an update on Paul Millsap, who left Tuesday’s game early with a face laceration.

“Talked to both of them quickly (Millsap and Harris). Paul, I put up two fingers and said how many, he said five (laughs), so hopefully by Friday he’ll be able to get that right. I think he is going to be okay. Gary’s ankle I don’t think is very severe. I think a couple days of rest and rehab. Hopefully he will be able to play on Friday night.”
