The Denver Nuggets season is in full swing with their win-loss record currently sitting at 8-3. While the Nuggets continue to have success, not every player is currently with the team as PJ Dozier, Vlatko Cancar, and Bol Bol are all playing in the G-League.

Denver sent Bol Bol down to the Windy City Bulls earlier this week, a positive indication that his left foot is healing well after surgery. The Bulls play tonight against the Canton Charge, which could mark Bol’s first game since December 12, 2018. On that night, Bol scored 20 points and hauled in nine rebounds as Oregon beat San Diego.

Speaking of the Windy City Bulls, PJ Dozier — one of Denver’s two-way players along with Bol — has been fantastic in his first two G-League games. Dozier has had games of 14 and 18 points and is currently averaging 16 points per game. Not only is Dozier scoring the basketball, but he is also averaging 11.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds per game.

Plays like that really showcase Dozier’s potential and his ability with the ball in his hands. Dozier is still just 23 years old and has already played eight games at the NBA level, six with the Boston Celtics and two with the Oklahoma City Thunder. It is a great sign that Dozier is continuing to develop in the G-League with the possibility of him helping the Nuggets out in the future.

As for Cancar, he has played one game with the Erie Bayhawks in which he scored seven points on 2-of-10 shooting from the field. Cancar did haul in four rebounds in his 25 minutes of action. For Cancar, having the opportunity to play is going to be huge for him as he — like Dozier — could have an opportunity to help the Nuggets out in the future. The Slovenian forward may still be adjusting to life in the U.S., and giving him some time to get comfortable would be wise for Nuggets fans.

Cancar is also back in action tonight as the Bayhawks take on the Capital City Go-Go. Both the Bayhawks and Bulls tip-off at 5:00 pm MDT, and both games can be viewed live via the G-League website.
