Highlights: Gary Harris helps bury Charlotte

Slap that man’s hand

NBA: Charlotte Hornets at Denver Nuggets Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

The Denver Nuggets have missed Gary Harris. As much as anyone not named Nikola Jokic he carries the ideals of Denver Basketball in his game. He cuts, pumps in threes, grabs steals and boards, and even dunks when he needs to. He came off the bench again in this game but it looks like the last time for a while. He was +23 in his 26 minutes tonight and had a posterizing dunk over Miles Bridges that showed his legs are fully back under him and ready for starting minutes.

17 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, a steal and some swagger? A very timely line. Denver’s bench has been performing admirably in the absence of Paul Millsap, Will Barton and Gary Harris but some of the stress on that unit was beginning to show. Monte Morris has been in a bit of a slump, and Juancho Hernangomez has not been firing off shots at the same pace lately. Trey Lyles has struggled to find the hoop as well.

Now that Harris is back and showing his three ball and athleticism again, perhaps the rest of Denver’s lineup can take this experience back to their normal roles and continue to thrive.

But seriously, check out the dunk in this highlight package. G Money forever, and I don’t just say that as a fellow G Money.
