Nikola Jokic’s one game suspension went about as well as the Denver Nuggets could have hoped. After They had no problem dispatching the Phoenix Suns without Joker’s services, a rested and motivated Nikola returned to the Pepsi Center one night later to put up an insane stat line on the way to leading the Nuggets to victory. Jokic dominated from the opening tip, including seventeen points in the first quarter alone. He would finish the night with thirty points, eighteen rebounds and ten assists to get his seventh triple double of the season. With the NBA All Star Game right around the corner, Jokic is leaving little doubt that he belongs in Charlotte on the weekend of February 15th. There also should be little doubt about the legitimacy of his MVP candidacy as well. With Jamal Murray the latest casualty to the injury report, Jokic has been the one constant for a Nuggets team that has remained at or near the top of the Western Conference standings for the entire season.
