NBA: Los Angeles Clippers at Denver Nuggets Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

In this episode, I provide 8 reasons why the Denver Nuggets will NOT make the playoffs this year, and 9 reasons why they Will.

Why they won’t make the playoffs

They get off to a sluggish start, again
Jokic misses more than 13 games
They continue to struggle in 4th quarters
They can’t win on the road
They lose too many games against lottery teams, again
The bench continues to struggle despite the addition of Isaiah Thomas
They rack up multiple 3-game losing streaks or one 5-game losing streak
They take the ball out of Jokic’s hands

Why they will make the playoffs

Jamal Murray makes a leap
Gary Harris makes a leap
Nikola Jokic makes a leap
Their offense picks up where it left off last season
They rank in the top 20 in defensive efficiency
Any two of Juancho Hernangomez, Trey Lyles, Torrey Craig, Michael Porter Jr., Malik Beasley, Monte Morris, or Jarred Vanderbilt become consistent, reliable rotation pieces
They have an 8-game winning streak or longer
They win 31+ games at home
They go .500 or better against the other teams in the playoff hunt
