According to Chris Dempsey of Altitude and NBA.com, the Denver Nuggets are expected to hand out their second and final two-way contract to DeVaughn Akoon-Purcell, the 25-year old forward out of Eastern Oklahoma State College.

Akoon-Purcell caught some major playing time with Denver’s 2018-19 Summer League squad and captured the fans’ attention with his Torrey Craig-like hustle and pleasantly surprising production.

The Orlando, Florida native posted 12 points and 2 rebounds per game in just under 20 minutes per contest, while shooting 43 percent from the field and 50 percent from deep. His energy and activity levels were through the roof and he stood out among a group of talented peers looking to do just that.

This news comes shortly after Denver officially signed Monte Morris to a full time roster spot and handed out their first two-way deal to Thomas Welsh, the back up center.

Once this signing is complete, Denver’s roster will be full, two-ways and all.
