The Denver Nuggets have been hit as hard as anyone by injuries. Gary Harris, Paul Millsap, Will Barton, Isaiah Thomas, Michael Porter Jr and Jarred Vanderbilt all remain out with meanwhile Juancho Hernangomez is fighting through an abdominal strain. Despite all of this they keep winning games and the primary reason is one man: Nikola Jokic. Jokic has been the catalyst for the Nuggets in December, averaging 21.7 points, 11 rebounds and 8.6 assists during the month. Tuesday night was no different with Joker exploding for thirty-two points and sixteen rebounds (four assists) on the way to leading the Nuggets to their fourth straight win as they toppled Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks.

The talk of Jokic being an MVP candidate this season is well deserved if he continues to play like this. The Nuggets still sit atop the standings of the Western Conference and Jokic has been the one constant for them throughout the season. If Joker continues to play like this once the team gets fully healthy, then the Nuggets will be a force to be reckoned with no matter who they are playing.
