Jamal Murray has quietly averaged 5.7 assists over the last 10 games and 6.6 assists over the last five. Both numbers are a huge improvement over the first 10 games of the season when Murray averaged just 3.4 assists to open the season. The turnovers have still been a problem for Murray, especially late in games where he has a few rough jump passes gone awry, but the good has far out-weighed the bad over the last couple of games as the Nuggets have regained their pass-heavy identity on the offensive end.

Last night, Murray led the team in scoring and assisting, with a final stat-line of 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists. He also had the prettiest bucket of the night, a clutch reverse layup in traffic with under four minutes to go that put Denver up 12. He later found Nikola Jokic for a dropoff in the pick and roll that sealed the victory.

Murray has looked better with each game over the last couple of weeks and it’s no coincidence that the Nuggets have looked better along with him. Check out the full highlights below.
