The Denver Nuggets officially introduced Paul Millsap to the Nuggets community today, using the Montbello Rec Center as the venue. Millsap spent the majority of his childhood in the Montbello area before returning to his birth state of Louisiana.
Seated next to Millsap were Josh Kroenke, president of basketball operations Tim Connelly, general manager Arturas Karnisovas, and head coach Mike Malone.
The new power forward for the Nuggets expressed excitement to be back in the town he grew up in, but first and foremost, he expressed that Denver pitched him on a great situation.
“The sales pitch was unbelievable, they sold this community and they sold this organization in a way I didn't know it could be sold," Millsap said. He also expressed excitement on teaming up with Nikola Jokic, saying “"I'm looking for [Jokic] to make my job easier and I want to make his job easier."
Kroenke and Connelly also discussed the recruitment of Millsap, stating that they had had the power forward on their radar for many years.

"When I hired Tim in 2013 he was one of the first names we discussed."
No other business was discussed, whether it be the possibility of new uniform redesigns, a G League team or a new training complex to keep up with some of the other teams in the league. This day was about Paul Millsap and as the best free agent Denver may have ever signed he rightly owned that spotlight.
Please help welcome Paul Millsap into the Denver community. He seems very excited to be here and be a part of elevating basketball in Denver once again.
