Denver Nuggets Tweet of the Week: Malik Beasley posterizes a Laker

Malik Beasley had a monster slam against the Lakers this week

NBA: Houston Rockets at Denver Nuggets Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

At the end of the 129-101 blowout against the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night, Malik Beasley checked in for garbage time, but there was nothing garbage about the rookie’s performance. During one play, he attacked the basket with purpose and went up for a one-handed slam, catching Ivica Zubac in a poster as he did so. It was the cherry on top of a great night for the Nuggets and it was great to see the bench’s reaction after the play. The dunk was incredible, and if you don’t believe me, check it out for yourself in the Tweet of the Week below:

What this clip doesn’t show is Beasley earning a technical foul for some taunting after the play. I think we can forgive Beasley for that, as this was the best play of his young career. What’s so great about this tweet, though, is Beasley’s confidence that there will be many more plays like this to come from him. I have a feeling he’s right, and I can’t wait to see more of his poster dunks in a Nuggets uniform.
