DeMarcus Cousins is in New Orleans, but the 8th seed is still Denver’s to lose

Locked On Nuggets podcast

In this episode of the Locked On Nuggets podcast, I share my thoughts on Jamal Murray’s incredible MVP performance in the BBVA rising stars challenge. Murray got hot to the degree that few players are capable of and even though it was an exhibition game with very little defense, it is still encouraging to see a Nuggets playeruy get that hot.

I also talked about what the DeMarcus Cousins trade means for the Denver Nuggets as they continue to pursue the 8th seed in the western conference. There is no question that Cousins and Anthony Davis can become the most dominant front court in the NBA, but there are plenty of questions about whether they will reach their potential. There is even more reason to doubt that they will tap that potential this year.

Lastly, I go over the latest trade rumors surrounding the Nuggets. Wilson Chandler and Danilo Gallinari have made their way into some rumors and the asking price for both guys seems to be draft picks, rather than other players.
