Bill Ficke got involved with Coaches vs. Cancer (The JoAnn B Ficke Memorial Cancer Fund), along with the 9-11 Memorial Fund in the Denver Metro Area, largely because he felt he had to give back ask a New Yorker and after his wife JoAnn passed away far too soon from Cancer. Coaches from all spectrum's of Denver sports came down to help Bill honor the memory of his late wife and raise money for those who are battling cancer everywhere.

Coaches such as Doug Moe, George Karl, Walt Weiss, Eric Young and Rodney Billups stopped by to lend their support. Former Nuggets coach Dan Issel was also there and he stopped by to talk to CSG Podcast’s own Jeff Morton about Coaches vs. Cancer and his relationship with Bill Ficke. Also, Issel talks about Jeff’s favorite Basketball memory … the 1994 Nuggets and his last shot as a professional basketball player. Also, Dan gives his thoughts on whether a slower style of basketball can succeed in Denver.
