The Denver Nuggets season is upon us…technically at least. With media day commencing at the Pepsi Center today, the Nuggets officially begin team activities in preparation for the 2016-2017 season. After today’s festivities the team is off to picturesque Nebraska to start training camp. After spending last season in Colorado Springs for camp, the Nuggets opted for an even more remote local by holding camp this year at the Creighton University facilities in Omaha. Before they can get to the grind of sprints and dorm room accommodations though they’ll spend one day answering questions to the Denver media about the upcoming season, Here’s everything you need to know for media day.

Time

Coach Michael Malone and general manager Tim Connelly will hold a press conference at 11:00 AM which is generally what kicks off the interviews. From there the players will be available for interviews over the next hour or so. The whole event should run a couple of hours until about 2 PM at the latest.

What to watch for

Media day always offers a few surprises. One of the biggest surprises from last season’s media day was the announcement that Jusuf Nurkic would not be ready to start the season. We also learned that Jameer Nelson had changed his number, and got our first look at the tweaked jersey design. No telling what surprises might be in store for this year but we do know it will be the first opportunity the media has to talk to Darrell Arthur about his injury as well as the first extended chance to talk with the Nuggets three first round draft picks. In fact, Malik Beasley will be doing a Facebook Q & A at 9AM.

Speaking of Facebook, Denver Stiffs is going to be rolling out a lot more Facebook based content this season by utilizing Facebook live.
