Marc Stein has just reported that in an effort to obtain Utah's Gordon Hayward, the Phoenix Suns tried to give Utah star player Eric Bledsoe AND a first round pick! Utah has reportedly told several teams that Hayward is not leaving anytime soon no matter the price.
Sources say Phoenix, in its failed trade pitch to convince Utah to surrender Gordon Hayward, tried to pair Eric Bledsoe with a lottery pick— Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) June 23, 2016
This only serves to bump up Danilo Gallinari's trade value if the Nuggets want to explore trade opportunities. There is a limited amount of small forwards and people with the skillset of Hayward and Gallinari in the open market so Utah's rejection might shed light on the market price for Gallo.
