Following a disappointing rookie season for Gary Harris, the Michigan State shooting guard was seen working out constantly last summer. His defensive capabilities were never questioned, but his offense left much to be desired. He put many of those questions to bed following a strong showing in his sophomore season, and his efforts have been rewarded.

Harris cemented himself as the starting shooting guard this past year, as he started all 76 games he participated. He made an incredible jump in production, amassing 12.3 points per game on 46.9 percent shooting and 35.4 percent from beyond the arc. More importantly, he became head coach Michael Malone's most trusted young player, averaging 32.1 minutes per contest.

The Michigan State product still has questions to answer about his long term viability as a starting shooting guard due to his smaller stature, but his improvements over the course of 2015-16 cannot be understated. He scored in the double digits in 18 straight contests in the second half of the season, showing the consistency many hoped for him to develop. Hopefully, he can use the USA Select Team experience as a springboard for a great performance next season.

Besides, who can forget this great Denver Nuggets moment?
