Last week, Denver Nuggets center Jusuf Nurkic excited Nuggets Nation by taking to Twitter to announce that he would be playing in his first game of the 2015-16 season.

Nurkic, who was sidelined after having surgery on his torn left patellar tendon, only played 5 minutes against Golden State in his debut. The very next night, however, he looked like the Juka of last season, posting 12 points and 8 rebounds in only 15 minutes. He followed this up recording a double-double against the Minnesota Timberwolves with 15 points, 10 rebounds and adding 5 blocks as a cherry on top.

Nurkic is the MVP of Tweet of the Week so far this season, and tweets like this one show why. The tweet is perfectly succinct, and the implications behind the tweet are even better. Juka’s return should prove pivotal for the Nuggets the rest of the season, as he will provide some much needed inside presence for the team. Since the Bosnian Beast is back, it appears the Nuggets will be able to turn a corner and truly start the development of a young and talented squad. That is, once their point guard of the future, Emmanuel Mudiay, makes a return of his own.
