According to Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post, the Denver Nuggets are expected to sign Sean Kilpatrick to his second 10-day contract with the team this season.

Kilpatrick, who was touted as the #1 D-League prospect when he signed his first ten day deal, has played sparingly for Denver over the past few games. He’s averaged 6 minutes a game for the team but that average is lowered by a couple of DNP-CDs. Most recently against the Grizzlies last night he saw 12 minutes of action.

Kilpatrick's most marketable skill is his ability to shoot the ball, especially from deep. He has a lightning quick release which means he doesn't require a lot of space to get his shot off. Unfortunately, in his very limited action those skills haven't translated into great numbers as he's shooting just 22% from beyond the arc for the Nuggets this season. Still, his hustle hasn't gone unnoticed and he has done enough to prove to the coaches that he deserves at the very least another 10 day look. With this now being his second short term deal with the team, the Nuggets will have to decide to keep him for the remainder of the year or release him once this contract is up.
